“What is your name?” Godiva asked the stranger. He smirked up at Her from his knees, bound in the shackles the guards had put on him, while She scowled down at him from Her throne with me at Her side fanning Her. “My name is Inu.” He proclaimed. His voice was strong, masculine. Heavens, he was attractive. I had to concentrate very hard on keeping my fanning consistent; I didn’t want Godiva to Punish me again. “Where do you come from, Inu?” Godiva asked him. He chuckled and his chuckle upset Her. “I asked you a direct question, stranger. Do not be insolent. Insolence in My kingdom is Punished accordingly.” She said. All the members of Her court shuddered at Her last sentence. We all were Punished at least once in our time with Godiva as Queen. It was what had drained our mana. She tipped Her head up slightly, revelling in the response the mere mention of Her Punishment had evoked from Her subjects. The stranger just smirked at Her. Then he looked at me, looked into my eyes, my soul. I couldn’t help the surprised yelp that came from my mouth. Godiva growled, baring Her teeth slightly. She was the only one to mate with the males unless otherwise was instructed by Her. “Guards! Take him away. His insolence will be Punished and he will fear Me.” Godiva snapped. She then rose from Her thrown and strode off to Her boudoir. Jani, another Attendant of Hers, and I hurried to keep up with Her.

Something about him was different. Other than the fact that the glow from his bones was not broken up the way mine was, the others’s were. Ours was broken up and faded, a visible sign that our mana was drained. Faded in some areas, non-existent in others. No, his glow was not like ours. You could clearly see that his life energy was whole, strong. He was beautiful too. His healthy blue fur, strong muscles. But where did he come from?

He was being led away to Godiva’s castle by Her guards. Someone had found him on the outskirts of the kingdom and told Godiva about him. “Illyra!” She snapped at me. I’d stopped fanning Her in my musings. I bowed and got back to fanning Her. “My apologies, my Queen.” Her beautiful face scowled at me then She turned Her attention back to the caravan that was taking us and the stranger to Her castle.

Update...?

Today I'm feeling... frazzled and frayed. My body's acting weird, the slightest thing is annoying me. I didn't even go to class this morning. I just don't feel like being around anyone. I just want to lay on the couch all day. I don't even want to be at the computer -sighs- Maybe I'm depressed today? I don't know. I don't feel particularly upset about life. Pssh -____-

P.S. I'm writing a story but I can't seem to finish it. I'll just post it here anyways.

I'm Searching!

I need to find a stock image of one (1) male human skeleton and one (1) female human skeleton. Front, side and back views preferably. This is for a (short-ish) story I'm writing and it will be featured on my blog! So help? Please? Thanks xD

Strange Behaviour

Disclaimer: The following material may be offensive to some readers. Reader discretion is advised.

I'm sure you all have heard about this 'Stop Kony' campaign. It involves this group (Invisible Children I do believe) trying to take down this warlord in Uganda. He's been kidnapping children and making them sexually abuse their own family members. There's even a video on YouTube about it (which I think is the only thing people have seen/heard about this whole situation). The video has roughly a million views by now. My friend told me about it over MSN and the next thing I know is that my feed is blowing up with "Stop Kony this!" and "Stop Kony that!". My reaction to the whole thing? People are sheep. Mindless. Being led on by one singular story that has one singular view. Whether or not the story is true, they don't really care. They never bother to look into it. For example, last year there was a story circulating about glass in baby food and the batch being recalled. Upon researching the story, I found out that the incident happened a year or two before and the batch of baby food was a flavour only available a France. People were, however, circulating the story to the point where my entire newsfeed was saturated. I posted the link to my research on the woman's status and she accepted that it was old news. She also said that she was just concerned about the situation etcetera etcetera. This is the case with this Kony campaign. People are genuinely concerned and they want to bring awareness of the situation. Now that we're aware, what are you going to do? Keep spamming newsfeeds, groups and the internet in general with this thing? I find that pathetic and not helpful at all. This "Make Kony famous" bit can't work in my view. We make him famous and then what? Erm.. Someone takes him down? Do you have any idea how many warlords are in Uganda? A fuck load. Uganda is in unrest. Their higher-ups are corrupted. You bring down Kony and then the guy below him takes his place. You take HIM out and the below below HIM takes HIS place. And on and on. Some of these wars in Uganda are started by the political leaders themselves. And how long has Uganda been in this state? A long time my friends. But why didn't we care then? About the families being killed, children orphaned by this violence.

I am by no means a heartless and soulless person. On the contrary. When my friend told me about it I was appalled. However, I have to think rationally about the situation. I've only heard a bit of it. I want to make sure I have the entire truth before I go out there on there internet and make a fool of myself. I also want to properly educate myself on the situation. Humans tend to pride themselves in being 'the most intelligent animal' or 'the only animal that can reason and rationalize'. I see no reasoning or rationalization of the Kony campaign. I see people running around mindlessly brining 'awareness' to the situation.

So now that we're aware, what can we do? On an individual level, maybe you can donate to charities that help the children of Uganda. Maybe (if you're Angelina Jolie) you can adopt a child out of Uganda and shoe them a life without constant fear, a life with a loving family around. Or maybe (if you're regular people) you can sponsor a child so that they could maybe get out of Uganda. Maybe individual countries can accept a certain number of children, put them in foster homes. SOMETHING to get them out of there. This "Make Kony famous" bullshit is not helping the victims.

People please educate yourselves on the situation. Don't accept one view of the story. Do research. Think before you act. Do something important. Sitting on your butt all day posting about this cause is not going to help the situation in Uganda nor is it going to benefit the victims of these crimes.

Every Gun I Ever Had Went Off

My mother will hate me for writing this...

I came home from school this evening and half the house was lit. When I say 'lit' I mean, the lights were on. In half of the house, the lights were on. Ohhhkaayyyy... We go to flicks on the lights. Nothing. Flack back. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Go through the house and we found the same thing in the other rooms. Dafuq? Call the sperm donor home (he was out drinking), he flips the breaker a couple hundred times. Nothing. Sperm donor: "Need to call an electrician." Me (in my head): "WITH WHAT MONEY?!?!?!?!" I'm currently having a break down internally. It's like... a radioactive isotope. Breaks down slowly until it's stable. That's me right now. A kind of slow, radioactive break down. I'm on my bed just staring. Considering what's going to happen. What could happen. I remember clearly when I was younger, our house was almost repossessed twice by the bank. I'm very scared for it to happen again. I'm just losing it. I don't know how else to describe it. I feel desperation, defeat, run down, tired, fed up, exhausted, bored, angry, depressed, all rolled up into one. And maybe some emotions I can't put words to. Except maybe, "ihgyhildoiufmcnowicndhfytlaioieiuejdhnaoqowuruoadja". I want things to change and be better and I know I have to try to help myself but I don't know how to. I don't know what I can do to get myself out of this situation. I'm lost.

Water, Water Everywhere. Not a Fucking Drop to Drink

Hey guys. So I went into my bedroom to return my wallet to my purse and after slipping off my flip-flops to feel the fluffy texture of the rug in front of my bed, I was shocked to realize the whole thing was FUCKING SOAKING WET. The ENTIRE corner of my room was a swamp or wet rugs, sopping books and the like. My textbook, a fiction book that's not mine and some other things are amongst the victims. After I freaked out and hyperventilated and was near tears, I cleaned up the mess. Mum came back home to help me out and found a leak right in the corner of the room. Right where the two walls meet. On the other side of the wall in our bathroom and she noticed there was water there too but MUCH less water than in my room. So now we have a leak. And no way to pay for it to be fixed. So currently, the sperm donor is banging his way into the wall to fix it? I don't know. I'm freaking out cos my parents have, like, $0 to spare to fix it. They're currently trying to find a buyer for the old car to get money to pay off loans that are in debt. All these financial struggles are SERIOUSLY taking its toll on me.

Pic below

Towels failing at soaking up the extra water

Towels failing at soaking up the extra water

Fiction that's been soaked through. I could squeeze water out of it.

And guess what? Book's not mine :)

I think that's my "Ideas" book. Thankfully it only got that wet spot at the back. That book is pretty important :/

My Biology textbook. My Bio Bible right now. Completely soaked through but thankfully the pages are the glossy type, so they didn't suffer as much damage as the fiction.

One of my old diaries. I was going to do a segment based on excerpts from here but, as you can see, it's totally unusable.

So I just dumped it v.v

Wish and Dream

So I found this rather nifty function on Amazon. It's called a 'wishlist'. Basically whatever you'd like to have, you place on this wishlist. You can come back to this wishlist later and buy an item or people can buy the items for you! Neat, huh? So for the past, like, day or two, I've been adding things to my wishlist. Mostly shoes cos, yknow, obligatory girl obsession. They're hawt mind you. Also I've been using Amazon's quite nifty Amazon Wishlist Toolbar. It works by allowing you to add any item (from it's product page) to your Amazon wishlist! Cool, huh? I've been raping this button for about two days now :3 It's quite fun and easy to use but it only works in Google Chrome (which you should already have). Certain Items that I couldn't find on Amazon, I could go to the direct seller's page, find the item and wham! It's on my Amazon wishlist! I've added my dream camera, a laptop and one of those KitchenAid stand mixers (don't judge me! It's for my dream kitchen >.>). Oh oh oh and I added a Wacom Bamboo tablet cos I'm lusting after one x.x

Let Amazon.com see this as a review for their nifty and easy to use toolbar :D

P.S. You guys can have a look through wishlist. Any urges to buy anything off it is encouraged but not necessary.
